Styffe performs Passione Amorose together with Enrico Fagone

July 28, in Padova, Italy Dan Styffe will perform Bottesini´s Concerto for two Basses "Passione Amorose" together with Italian bassist Enrico Fagone and Orhestra di Padova e del Veneto, (OPV). The concert is called "Le Passioni del Gasparo" and is a part of the international Music Festival - Festival "Gasparo da Saló", (54 Estate musicale del Garda). Fagone will also play a Gasparo bass owned by the Gasparo Foundation in Saló and Dan will play the Gasparo bass he uses owned by Dextra Musica, Sparebankstiftelsen.

Styffe releases new CD including Martinsson's Bass Concerto with Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, cunducted by Jukka-Pekka Saraste. Other pieces are two duos by Per Nørgård and Olav Anthon Thommessen with violinist Peter Herresthal and solopieces by Hauta-Aho, Salles, Scelsi, Auerbach and Kurtag.

Styffe is recording a new CD, which also will include Martinsson's Concerto, at The Norwegian Academy of Music. Solopieces by Hauta-Aho, Salles, Kurtag, Auerbach and Scelsi. He will also record two duo pieces by Thommessen and Nørgård with violinist Peter Herresthal.
